Ensuring resident safety is a top priority for leaders across the country. This is emphasized in the wake of countless school shootings, cyber attacks, and an increase in auto fatalities. As state and local governments grapple with discontent citizens and budget constraints, the reality of planning for and executing public safety is littered with roadblocks.
At the Public Safety Workshop, we talked with state and local government leaders about how they’re using technology, and utilizing funding to protect their communities from whatever is coming next. We also discussed the workforce implications of an enhanced public safety approach. From drone technology in emergency responses, to enhanced cybersecurity in public education institutions, we covered both what’s around the corner and what’s already here in public safety.
